On November 4, 2016, I spoke to Project Censored, the radio hour of the Project Censored Project. We spoke about Rwanda-Day in San Francisco, another episode of the ongoing propaganda effort that is used to justify President Paul Kagame's totalitarian rule in Rwanda and his repeated invasion and plunder of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We also talked about Kagame's close and longstanding relationship with the Clintons, which causes both Rwandese and Congolese people to dread the Clintons return to The White House.
In Rwanda and Burundi, the massacres of the last 20 years have followed the assassination of Hutu presidents. First, the assassination of Burundian President Melchior Ndadaye in Burundi in 1993, then the assassination of Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana and Burundian President Cyprien Ntaryamira in 1994. Now insurgents in Burundi claim to have fired mortar rounds on the Burundian president's residence in Bujumbura, the country's capital.
