Tracy Rosenberg and Margy Wilkinson Debate on KPFA

Starting at 1 pm, Friday, June 29th, Tracy Rosenberg, Media Alliance Director and elected KPFA and Pacifica National Board member, left, and Margy Wilkinson, trade union activist and elected KPFA Local Station Board member, right, will present the arguments for and against recalling Tracy Rosenberg from the KPFA Local Station Board and, thus, from the Pacifica National Board as well.  Ballots went out to KPFA listener subscribers, those who have given $25 or three hours time in the past year,  on Thursday, June 28th.

On the air at 94.1fm in Northern/Central California, and streaming live on the Web at http://www.kpfa.org/.

This debate and special election are of crucial importance to the future of KPFA and the Pacifica Radio Network of five major metropolitan stations and over 99 affiliate stations.

I oppose recalling Tracy. I think she’s one of the most knowledgeable, vocal, committed, hardworking, and effective media activists in the country. I recommend following her Huffington Post blog on media justice, and listening to the debate coming up, or in the KPFA archives.
