San Francisco: Public Defender Jeff Adachi opposes Mayor Ed Lee's stop-and-frisk policing

San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi told KPFA why he adamantly opposes San Francisco Mayor Ed Lees plan to implement Stop-and-Frisk policing, which will give officers the right to stop and search people they deem suspicious. Stop-and-Frisk has proven tantamount to racial profiling, and, Adachi says that Mayor Ed Lee, as an Asian American implementing a policy that targets Black and Latino Americans, will risk heightening racial tension.
